Aadi Guru

All devotees must pray to Aadi Guru before getting blessings from Sri Rajarajeswari Devi. Aadi Guru is considered as the ancestor of Vazhappully family.

During the period when lower castes (avarnas) were not allowed to study or even hear Vedas Aadi Guru became brahmachari and learned all Tantra, Mantra and Treatment methods under the teachings of  Gurus from Aazhvancheri Mana.

Using his in-depth knowledge in Tantra-Mantra,  Aadi Guru made the Goddess Bhagavati appear and the supreme soul of the Goddess was captured to the idol which is being worshipped by all devotees at Sri Rajarajeshwari Temple.

RajaRajeshwari Devi having the combined power of supreme souls of Brahma, Vishnu and Maheswara desired Aadi Guru’s idol to be installed in front of her to pacify the sorrowing and bless all her devotees.
